Your aim could be a fall marathon like Chicago or Marine Corps, or you may want to make your big goal this year a half marathon or a few 10Ks. If you’ve never done the Marine Corps in Washington, we encourage you to; it is always such a trip with Major Dan and his sidekicks. And for those of us who did Chicago last year, well, we have some unfinished business...both running and walking and socializing. We meet for the next three Saturday mornings at Knox Church on Spadina and Harbord, then over to the Central Y on Saturdays till June. As always, you can tailor your program to suit your needs, schedule and pace. TWO - The Furman First Program If you want a kinder gentler way to increase your pace for a goal marathon in the Fall, (and lots of alums who tried it for the first time last year took 15 to 45 minutes off their previous personal bests), you’ll want to take our Furman First Program which will be coached this year by super-alum and many multiple marathoner, Jane Hodgson. See the Furman Program. Cost: The cost is the same for each program: $225 plus GST What You Get: (This applies to both the 'New' and 'Alumnae' programs) 1. The full training program including a coach’s assessment of your goals and a training schedule following. 2. Password access to the JeansMarines website, which will have all the training programs and maps. 3. The lovely long-sleeve JeansMarines tech running shirt. 4.
